Mexico City Stadium is FIFA's tournament name for Estadio Azteca — the historic home of Club América, in the south of Mexico City. It opens the 2026 World Cup on 11 June (Mexico vs South Africa) and is the only stadium to have hosted three World Cup openings.

How to get there

  1. Metro Línea 2 → Tasqueña → Tren Ligero. Ride Metro Line 2 (blue) south to Tasqueña, then the Tren Ligero light rail to Estadio Azteca station — about MXN $12 plus a one-time MXN $15 MI Card.
